The Chronik [p 447] records that Bräker continued to visit and correspond with Girtanner at least once a week. On the 27th Bräker's grandson Ulrich Bräker was baptised in Wattwil, but died less than a month later on 21st Sept. [Chronik, p 448]

30th Aug. Bräker attends a meeting in Lichtensteig called by Johann Valentin Boesch, to revive the Moral Society. Four new members were enrolled and the library was moved to the house of Abraham Steger. After the meeting the members ate a meal together at The Pike, where each man paid for his own meal. The revolutionary events of the following year, however, prevented this new Society from meeting again. [Chronik, p 447]
